As participants in the Mars Petcare Cat Adoption program, we are able to find homes for orphan kittens and cats, enriching the lives of clients and their families. All kittens and cats in the program initially receive a full health check. During their time at Crookwell Veterinary Hospital, while waiting for a home, they are given the veterinary services listed below, ensuring they are healthy and ready for adoption.
The cost of adopting a kitten is $300. These costs cover the following services:
- Desexing
- Kitten vaccination course against Feline Enteritis (panleukopaenia), Feline Calicivirus and Feline Rhinotracheitis (cat flu), providing full cover for 1 year
- Negative tested for FIV (Feline AIDS) and FeLv (Feline Leukemia Virus)
- Microchipping
- Worming
- Flea treatment
- Toilet training
- Socialisation
Every new owner receives an Advance Pet Nutrition Starter Kit, including a cardboard cat carry box and kitten products.
If you are interested in adopting a kitten, we recommend you drop into the vet hospital and speak with our staff. We often have kittens on site that need a home, or we can contact you when new kittens arrive.
We encourage you to visit and spend time with the kitten(s) before making a final decision – adopting any animal is such an important and long term decision. We have new kittens coming into the clinic regularly, so you can take the time to choose the right kitten for your family. We also occasionally have adult cats needing a special home.
